# Text or logo watermark > Browser-only file conversion. Selected files are processed on this device and are not uploaded to a conversion server. Source: https://localconverter.tech/image-watermark Place a text label or uploaded logo over a photograph and save a flattened image copy. Control the position and opacity, with font size and colour for text or relative width for a logo. Use it for visible attribution, draft labels or consistent branding on image previews. ## Useful tasks - Add attribution to a photo preview - Place a logo on a product image - Mark a draft image with a text label ## Steps 1. **Choose files in role order**: For text, add the photograph alone. For logo mode, add exactly two images with the photograph first and the logo second in the upload list. 2. **Configure the visible mark**: Select text or logo mode and a position. Enter text and font settings or choose the logo width percentage, then adjust the watermark opacity. 3. **Composite the new image**: Choose an output format and run Create output. The mark is composited into the image pixels, creating a new flattened copy of the photograph. 4. **Check contrast and placement**: Download the result and inspect the mark at the intended display size. Check that it remains readable without covering a face, product detail or important caption. ## Settings - **Watermark**: Choose watermark according to the result you need. Available choices: Text; Second image as logo. The initial selection is Text. - **Watermark text**: Watermark text is applied to this tool job. Use the value or syntax described in the example below. The initial value is “Local Converter”. - **Font size (px)**: Font size (px) accepts values from 8 to 300, using whole numbers. The initial value is 36. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files. - **Opacity (%)**: Opacity (%) accepts values from 1 to 100, using whole numbers. The initial value is 50. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files. - **Position**: Choose position according to the result you need. Available choices: Bottom right; Bottom left; Top right; Top left; Centre. The initial selection is Bottom right. - **Text colour**: Choose the text colour used by the operation. The initial colour is #ffffff. Check the output against its intended background, particularly when transparent areas, fine edges or text contrast matter. - **Logo width (%)**: Logo width (%) accepts values from 1 to 90, using whole numbers. The initial value is 25. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files. - **Output format**: Choose output format according to the result you need. Available choices: PNG; JPG; WEBP. The initial selection is PNG. ## A subtle logo on a product preview Add a product photograph followed by a transparent logo. Choose logo mode, bottom-right placement, twenty percent logo width and fifty percent opacity. Create the output and review the logo against the photo’s colours before sharing the preview. ## Check the result Upload a supported file, adjust the settings and create the output. Text mode uses one image. Logo mode requires exactly two: photo first, logo second. Open the saved output in the app or workflow where you plan to use it. Check one representative result before repeating the same settings with more files. The original files stay unchanged. ## Limits - Files are processed on this device. Browser memory and engine-specific limits apply. Save results before reloading. - Text mode uses one image. Logo mode requires exactly two: photo first, logo second. - Upload up to 20 files, at least 1 with a combined size of at most 100 MB. The completed output must fit within 200 MB. - Files are checked by the local engine; a matching filename alone is not proof of valid contents. - Selections and completed jobs stay available while you navigate inside this tab. Use My files to revisit results. Reloading or closing the tab clears the workspace; download results you want to keep first. ## Questions ### Which image is used as the logo? In logo mode, the first uploaded file is the photograph and the second is the logo. Exactly two images are required, so check their visible order before processing to avoid placing the photo over the logo. ### Can I change the watermark later? The downloaded image contains a composited mark in its pixels rather than an editable watermark layer. Keep the original photograph and logo separately if you expect to change text, position or opacity for a later version. ### What does logo width measure? The logo width setting is a percentage of the photograph’s width. The logo keeps its own proportions when resized, so a tall logo can occupy substantial height even at a modest percentage of the photo width. ### Will the mark prevent copying? A visible watermark can communicate attribution or draft status, but it does not prevent someone from saving the image. Choose its placement for your intended presentation and retain original files for any later editing workflow. ### Does Text or logo watermark upload files to another service? Processing runs in this browser, on your device. Files and pasted input are not uploaded to a conversion server. The website and required engine assets must load first; large operations depend on available device memory. ### Can I continue after changing pages? Selections and completed jobs stay available while you navigate inside this tab. Use My files to revisit results. Reloading or closing the tab clears the workspace; download results you want to keep first. ## Related guides - [Compress image](https://localconverter.tech/compress-image.md) - [Resize image](https://localconverter.tech/resize-image.md) - [Crop & rotate image](https://localconverter.tech/crop-image.md) - [HEIC / HEIF converter](https://localconverter.tech/heic-converter.md) - [JPG to JPG](https://localconverter.tech/jpg-to-jpg.md) - [JPG to PNG](https://localconverter.tech/jpg-to-png.md)
