Rotate PDF pages
Correct the orientation of selected PDF pages. Use Rotate PDF pages locally with practical instructions, output settings and format limits.
Rotate PDF pages
Rotate selected PDF pages clockwise by ninety, one hundred eighty or two hundred seventy degrees and save a new document. Leave the page field blank to rotate every page, or specify positions and ranges for isolated orientation problems. Use it to correct sideways scans while preserving the existing page sequence.
- Correct sideways scanned pages
- Turn an upside-down PDF upright
- Rotate only landscape appendix pages
How to use Rotate PDF pages
Choose the PDF to correct
Upload one working, unprotected PDF of up to one hundred pages. Check each incorrectly oriented page in a viewer so the requested rotation matches the problem.
Select affected page positions
Enter page numbers or ascending ranges, or leave the field blank for every page. Do not repeat a page position in the same selection.
Choose a clockwise rotation
Select ninety, one hundred eighty or two hundred seventy degrees and run Process document. The chosen rotation is added to each selected page’s existing orientation.
Check the new orientation
Download the PDF and inspect the rotated pages alongside their neighbours. Confirm the content is upright and that pages excluded from the selection remain appropriately oriented.
Understand the settings
- Pages (blank means all)
- Pages (blank means all) is applied to this tool job. Use the value or syntax described in the example below. Leave it blank only when the field is described as optional.
- Clockwise rotation
- Choose clockwise rotation according to the result you need. Available choices: 90; 180; 270. The initial selection is 90.
Two sideways pages in a report
A ten-page PDF has sideways scans at positions four and seven. Enter 4,7 and choose the clockwise rotation that makes them upright. Create the result and review both corrected pages before replacing the copy used for reading.
Check your result
Choose a file, adjust the settings, then download the result. Maximum 100 PDF pages; render and OCR jobs allow 20 pages. Open the saved output in the app or workflow where you plan to use it. Check one representative result before repeating the same settings with more files. The original files stay unchanged.

Rotate PDF pages: common questions
Does a blank selection mean no pages?
No. A blank page field selects all pages in the PDF. Enter an explicit list if only a few pages need correction, and review that list before applying a rotation across a mixed-orientation document.
Which direction is the rotation?
The offered angles are clockwise and are added to a page’s existing rotation. A ninety-degree choice and a two-hundred-seventy-degree choice turn in opposite effective directions, so inspect the downloaded result if the source orientation is confusing.
Will rotation change page order?
This operation changes orientation on selected pages and keeps their existing sequence. Use Reorder PDF pages if the document also has a misplaced cover or sections that need a different order after orientation is corrected.
Can I rotate by a small angle?
This PDF tool provides quarter-turn rotations rather than arbitrary deskew angles. For photographed page images with a slight tilt, use the scan cleanup workflow before assembling a PDF, checking that automatic correction retains the full page content.
Does Rotate PDF pages upload files to another service?
Processing runs in this browser, on your device. Files and pasted input are not uploaded to a conversion server. The website and required engine assets must load first; large operations depend on available device memory.
Can I continue after changing pages?
Selections and completed jobs stay available while you navigate inside this tab. Use My files to revisit results. Reloading or closing the tab clears the workspace; download results you want to keep first.
