Images to animated GIF
Turn an ordered set of images into a looping animation. Use Images to animated GIF locally with practical instructions, output settings and format limits.
Images to animated GIF
Build an animation from ordered image files using a shared canvas and a fixed delay for each image. Choose GIF, animated WebP or APNG, set canvas dimensions and control looping. This is useful for simple product sequences, slide-like explainers or a short animated comparison without a video timeline editor.
- Animate a sequence of product views
- Make a short image-based explainer
- Create a looping before-and-after comparison
How to use Images to animated GIF
Arrange the source images
Add at least two supported images and put them in playback order. Start with still frames when you want one predictable animation frame per file.
Set canvas and timing
Enter the canvas width and height, then set the per-image delay in milliseconds. Images are proportionally fitted on a transparent canvas without stretching.
Choose animation output
Select GIF, WebP or APNG and the loop behaviour. Check start and length as well, because these controls can select only part of the assembled sequence.
Create and play the result
Run the tool and download the animation. Play the complete sequence to check frame order, timing, padding and whether the loop behaves as intended.
Understand the settings
- Output format
- Choose output format according to the result you need. Available choices: GIF; WEBP; APNG. The initial selection is GIF.
- Maximum width
- Maximum width accepts values from 16 to 1200, using whole numbers. The initial value is 480. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Loop count (-1 = source, 0 = forever)
- Loop count (-1 = source, 0 = forever) accepts values from -1 to 100, using whole numbers. The initial value is -1. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Start (seconds)
- Start (seconds) accepts values from 0 to 7200, in increments of 0.1. The initial value is 0. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Length (seconds)
- Length (seconds) accepts values from 0.1 to 120, in increments of 0.1. The initial value is 20. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Canvas height
- Canvas height accepts values from 16 to 1200, using whole numbers. The initial value is 480. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Frame delay (ms)
- Frame delay (ms) accepts values from 20 to 2000, using whole numbers. The initial value is 100. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
A four-view product loop
Four still product views need a simple rotating showcase. Add them in view order, choose a 480 by 480 canvas and a 500 millisecond delay. Export GIF with continuous looping and check that every view remains visible inside the padded canvas.
Check your result
Add images in frame order. Files are fitted on a transparent canvas. Delay applies to each image. Media jobs are bounded to 120 seconds; animations to 240 frames, 30 seconds and 64 million decoded pixels. Open the saved output in the app or workflow where you plan to use it. Check one representative result before repeating the same settings with more files. The original files stay unchanged.
What to know before you start
- Files are processed on this device. Browser memory and engine-specific limits apply. Save results before reloading.
- Media jobs are bounded to 120 seconds; animations to 240 frames, 30 seconds and 64 million decoded pixels.
- Upload up to 20 files, at least 2 with a combined size of at most 100 MB. The completed output must fit within 200 MB.
- Files are checked by the local engine; a matching filename alone is not proof of valid contents.
- Selections and completed jobs stay available while you navigate inside this tab. Use My files to revisit results. Reloading or closing the tab clears the workspace; download results you want to keep first.
Images to animated GIF: common questions
Does frame delay apply to every input?
The selected delay applies to each decoded frame used by the maker. Still input images provide a predictable frame sequence; animated inputs can contribute several frames, so review the total playback duration when combining them.
Are different image proportions stretched?
No. Each frame is fitted within the shared canvas and centred with transparent padding. Select canvas proportions that suit the whole sequence, since unusually wide or tall inputs may appear much smaller than other frames.
How long can the animation be?
Animation output is limited to thirty seconds, two hundred forty frames and sixty-four million decoded pixels. Canvas size, frame count and delay all affect those bounds, so reduce one of them if the sequence is too large.
Why is only part of my sequence present?
The start and length settings select a window from the assembled animation. Check that start is zero and length covers your intended sequence, while staying within the duration and frame limits supported by the tool.
Does Images to animated GIF upload files to another service?
Processing runs in this browser, on your device. Files and pasted input are not uploaded to a conversion server. The website and required engine assets must load first; large operations depend on available device memory.
Can I continue after changing pages?
Selections and completed jobs stay available while you navigate inside this tab. Use My files to revisit results. Reloading or closing the tab clears the workspace; download results you want to keep first.
